Family stories often accompany these objects, making them valuable, tangible pieces of an ancestor's life. A CREATIVE CONVERSATION November 7, 2008 - January 10, 2009 ”A Creative Conversation" will open with a reception from 5 to 7PM on Friday, November 7th at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts on 28 Renne Avenue in Pittsfield, MA. The two-woman exhibit is the culmination of a year-long project that stretched mixed-media artist Anne Pasko and fiber artist Fern Leslie into new artistic territory. The two artists alternated meeting in each other’s studios once a month where they created the criteria for new works of art and showed and critiqued the previous month’s work. The exhibit not only shows their 12 months of completed art work, but also summaries of each months’ criteria, quotes from the artists, as well as the art journals each kept as they progressed through their year. A “Creative Conversation” is more than an art show. It is a peek into the world of two artists and friends who gave themselves the freedom and flexibility to travel artistically together beyond their normal boundaries. Leslie and Pasko will also give a talk on the process, the challenges, and the rewards of their project on Friday, November 14th at 7 PM. Both the reception on November 7th and the talk on November 14th are free and open to the public. The Lichtenstein Center is open Wednesday-Saturday, noon-5pm. Lichtenstein Center for the Arts
